Trying to think of something new and fun to add to your menu? Well look no further! Delicious healthy baked turkey meatballs are the ticket!
I started making these meatballs for cat dad a little over two years ago and we can’t get enough of them. We love to eat healthy in our house and these baked turkey meatballs are not only easy and delicious they are super healthy! These delectable treats are perfect to eat by themselves or even throw them in some zucchini noodles or whole wheat pasta. A lot of times you sacrifice taste when you cook healthy, however these turkey meatballs are the opposite. They are full of flavor and absolutely addicting.
What you will need for my baked turkey meatballs.
- 1 package of 99% lean ground turkey
- 1/2 an onion (finely chopped)
- 2 handfuls of spinach (chopped)
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup bread crumbs
- 1 spoonful minced garlic
- 3-5 shakes of Dried oregano
- 3-5 shakes of Dried basil
- 2 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
Pre heat oven to 400°
First chop up the onion and spinach, be sure to chop it up super fine. This way you don’t have to sauté it before you pop the meatballs in the oven (saving you precious time). The spinach can be in a little bit bigger pieces it doesn’t need long to cook.
In a medium sized mixing bowl, place all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Have a cookie sheet covered in foil waiting be sure to spray it with cooking spray so the meatballs don’t stick to the foil. Form the meatballs with your hands. I prefer my meatballs to be larger, so one or 2 is a serving size (this makes it easy for food prepping) once you have the meatballs formed place them on the cookie sheet. Once on The cookie sheet spray meatballs with olive oil, add salt-and-pepper to the top for a final flavor element. The oil on top will make a nice crisp top and hold in the flavors.
